ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT REQUIRED FOR LANGFORD PARK NURSING HOME AND FOR SAINTHILL HOUSE CARE HOME.(FILLED)

Responsible to the Activities Manager
Main Responsibilities
Planning and facilitating a range of stimulating activities, promoting independence and choice to meet client’s needs.
Controlling and maintaining the stock of activities equipment, materials and resources within a given budget.
Comply with CQC essential standards and improve the quality of customer’s lives.
A unique individual is required to become activities organiser at our care home. Activities are an important feature of our home and we pride ourselves on providing residents with a varied and interesting activities schedule.
Specific Responsibilities
• The job will involve speaking to residents, collating information about their interests, organising activities accordingly and recording outcomes.
• The activities you will organise will vary from simply chatting to residents on an individual basis to games, music and movement and theatre trips.
• The activities you will assist with have to encompass the needs of the whole variety of our residents from those who are only with us to be pampered, others who have limited capacity and suffer from early stage dementia, to those who are completely bed bound and do not have any capacity.
Additionally some of our residents prefer to carry out activities on their own in their rooms whilst others prefer to take part in group activities.
It will be for you to split your time up accordingly, respecting resident wishes whilst encouraging residents to get the most from their time at our home.
• You must be able to work as part of the team and with residents’ personal needs being the primary focus.
• We will be keen for you to attend suitable training courses to assist you in your role and to provide you with suitable resources. We expect all members of staff to have a formal induction before commencing work.
• Currently, we have many activities within the home, which include, Hair, Physio, mini bus outings, singers & Holy Communion.
The ideal person, therefore, would be willing to work varied days and shifts to suit the activity rota. The post, therefore, is for a full time position.
Job Type: Full-time Salary: £8.00 hour.
Job Type: Full-time 36 Hours.
Required experience:
Outgoing, creative, empathetic, happy disposition and a caring nature.

FULL TIME PERMANENT REGISTERED NURSE (RNLD, RMN or RGN)

36 hours per week, on a shift rota
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join us at our luxury, family run care home. Your key responsibility will be to provide and supervise the delivery of high quality nursing care to our residents.

Reporting to the Deputy Manager, you will be expected to maintain professional and clinical standards and ensure all residents are treated with dignity. You will be given every opportunity for continuing professional development.
You will need to hold a current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) and provide evidence of continuing professional development. Ideally, you will have a nursing degree, or be willing to undertake education to degree level. A teaching or mentor/ supervision qualification would be an advantage.
You must have up to date knowledge of clinical practices and a strong understanding of the CQC and regulatory requirements and framework. You must also have an awareness of the clinical policy framework, DoLS/ MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
You must have experience of producing well developed care plans, undertaking risk assessments and clinical team working. Experience within an older person setting and supporting newly qualified nurses would be beneficial.

CHEF REQUIRED FOR SAINTHILL HOUSE IN ALPHINGTON

Core hours 27 per week over three days (Rota)  £8ph

Cooking for 14 people on average.

Experience in wholesome family cooking with a knowledge of dietary requirements in a care home setting, the vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check, which we will pay for.

We also offer free meals on duty, uniform and overtime enhancements.
